The one deadline that matters: 6:00 p.m. ET the day before processing
OPTAVIA Premier+ is an autoship program billed in 4-week increments, and its terms are explicit: all modifications and cancellations must be submitted — through your online account or by phone — no later than 6:00 p.m. ET the day before your order processing date. Requests that land after the deadline apply to the next scheduled order, which means one more full charge to your card. Your processing date is shown in your Premier+ settings, and OPTAVIA emails you before each upcoming order; if that email just arrived, treat the deadline as now.
How to cancel on OPTAVIA.com
The web flow is fully self-serve:
- Sign in at OPTAVIA.com and open your Account page.
- Scroll down to the My OPTAVIA Premier+ section and click the Cancel Premier+ Membership link in the bottom-right corner.
- In the confirmation window ("Are you sure you want to cancel your OPTAVIA Premier+ autoship?"), click Cancel my autoship.
- You will land back on the Premier+ Details page with a green banner confirming the membership was cancelled — keep a screenshot as your record.
How to cancel in the OPTAVIA App
The app flow is equally self-serve:
- Open the OPTAVIA App and select the Account tab.
- Select the Manage Premier+ tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Manage Premier+ page and tap the Cancel OPTAVIA Premier+ Membership link.
- A confirmation window notes you will lose Premier+ benefits — tap Cancel Premier+ to confirm, and the Manage Premier+ page will show the membership as cancelled.
Already have an order placed? That needs its own cancellation
OPTAVIA's own help documentation is blunt about this: cancelling your Premier+ membership does NOT cancel an order that has already been placed. If an order went through before you cancelled, submit a separate cancellation request for it:
- On OPTAVIA.com: Account page → Order History → click the order number → Cancel order request → pick a reason → Request order cancelation.
- In the app: Orders page → tap the order tile → Cancel order request → pick a reason → Request order cancelation.
- Order cancellation requests can be submitted up to 24 hours after the order is placed, and they are requests, not guarantees — once an order has shipped, OPTAVIA can no longer cancel it.
- If a shipment arrives anyway, you can refuse the package or start a return: refused packages are refunded in full within 2-4 business days of reaching the warehouse. But note — refusing or returning a shipment does not cancel your Premier+ enrollment.
Prefer to cancel by phone?
OPTAVIA's terms accept cancellations by phone as well as online. Call the Client Support Team at 1-888-OPTAVIA (1-888-678-2842) before the same 6:00 p.m. ET day-before-processing deadline, and ask for an email confirming the membership is cancelled. Your independent OPTAVIA coach, however supportive, is not the cancellation channel — the request has to go through your account or Client Support to count.
Refunds and billing — what to watch for
A few things from OPTAVIA's published terms worth knowing before you cancel:
- You are financially responsible for every order shipped up to the date your cancellation takes effect — cancelling is not retroactive.
- Returns follow OPTAVIA's standard Return Policy, and discounted orders are refunded at the amount you actually paid, not the pre-discount price.
- There is no Premier+ membership fee, so there is no residual subscription charge after cancelling — the only charges are orders.
- Rewards and Wellness Credits applied to a cancelled order are reinstated to your account.
- You can re-enroll any time by setting up a new autoship, though the first-order discount does not repeat for previously enrolled customers.
How to confirm your cancellation actually went through
Verify all three layers: the green confirmation banner (or app confirmation) at the moment you cancel, your Premier+ status showing cancelled when you log back in later, and — the real test — no new charge on your card around your old 4-week processing date. If you also submitted an order cancellation request, watch for the follow-up email: OPTAVIA warns that you may still receive a shipment confirmation while they attempt to intercept the order, and a second email tells you whether the interception and refund succeeded.
Leaving OPTAVIA? What to consider next
People leave Fueling- and coach-based programs for all kinds of reasons — cost, food fatigue, wanting to eat regular meals again, or wanting a different kind of support, including medical options. Structured meal-replacement programs and medication-based care are different categories: one is built around portion-controlled products and a coach, the other treats weight through a licensed healthcare provider. Telehealth platforms — Cora Health among them — connect patients with licensed providers who evaluate whether a GLP-1 medication is appropriate and, when it is, prescribe it.
A few honest things to know if you are weighing compounded GLP-1 medication:
- Compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are prepared by US-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not therapeutically equivalent to brand-name products like Wegovy® or Zepbound®.
- A licensed provider — not the platform — decides whether medication is clinically appropriate for you. Cora does not prescribe; it connects patients with licensed providers.
- In the STEP 1 trial, FDA-approved branded semaglutide produced about 14.9% average weight loss over 68 weeks; in SURMOUNT-1, FDA-approved branded tirzepatide produced about 22.5% over 72 weeks. Those figures come from trials of the branded products, not compounded versions. Individual results vary.
- Compare the total, all-inclusive price — not just a headline number. Cora's plans start at $99/month for compounded semaglutide and $135/month for compounded tirzepatide on annual plans, with provider care, US-licensed pharmacy fulfillment, and shipping included and no separate membership fee.
- Whatever you choose, pick a provider with transparent pricing and a clear, self-serve way to cancel — so you are not back here running another "how to cancel" search in six months.
OPTAVIA cancellation FAQ
Does cancelling Premier+ cancel my pending order? No. An order that has already been placed needs its own Cancel order request (available up to 24 hours after it was placed), and once an order ships it can no longer be cancelled — only returned.
Does refusing a delivery cancel my membership? No. Refusing or returning a shipment gets that order refunded (2-4 business days after it reaches the warehouse) but your Premier+ enrollment — and its billing — continues until you cancel it explicitly.
Is there a cancellation fee? No. There is no membership fee and no cancellation fee; you are only responsible for orders shipped before your cancellation takes effect.
Can my OPTAVIA coach cancel for me? Cancellation goes through your own account (web or app) or the Client Support Team at 1-888-OPTAVIA — coaches are notified of your Premier+ status but the request must come from you.
Can I rejoin later? Yes — you can re-enroll any time by setting up a new autoship, though OPTAVIA's first-order discount does not apply again if you were previously enrolled.
