Before you call: Jenny Craig's money rules
Jenny Craig's current program (relaunched as a direct-to-consumer meal delivery service) runs on auto-ship, and its published terms set out rules worth knowing before you cancel:
- Food is non-returnable and non-refundable — and Jenny Craig's refund policy explicitly extends this to prepaid orders that have not been shipped. If you prepaid for 2 or 4 shipments, cancelling does not refund the unshipped remainder, so time your cancellation for after your prepaid shipments are used.
- Auto-ship bills every 2 weeks by default (Pay Per Shipment), or on prepay schedules that convert to 2-week auto-ship once the prepaid orders are used up. Either way, billing continues until you cancel.
- For quality problems with the food itself, the terms point to a different line: 800-JENNYCARES (800-536-6922) — that is a product-issue channel, not a cancellation channel.
- A dormancy rule exists: auto-ship customers are expected to take at least one order every 6 months to keep their promotional pricing — failure can cancel the promotion (though not necessarily the billing arrangement you meant to end).
How to cancel: phone or email only
Jenny Craig's terms are unambiguous — "the customer must call or email to cancel their auto-ship plan," and its cancellation section reads "Cancel anytime by calling 1-800-727-8046 or customersupport@JennyCraig.com. No hassles."
- Call 1-800-727-8046, or email customersupport@jennycraig.com with your account email and a clear request to cancel your auto-ship plan.
- Do not rely on the website: deleting your information in My Account does not stop auto-ship orders from being fulfilled — Jenny Craig's terms say this explicitly.
- If you email, do it well before the 6:00 p.m. ET cutoff and ask for a reply confirming the cancellation, so a slow inbox does not cost you one more shipment.
- State exactly what you want cancelled: the auto-ship plan, Club Jenny, or both.
The 6:00 p.m. ET cutoff
Like its sibling meal-delivery programs, Jenny Craig fulfills orders on a warehouse schedule: you must cancel or modify an order before 6:00 p.m. ET the day before it is scheduled to be fulfilled, otherwise that order cannot be cancelled or changed — it ships and bills, and your cancellation takes effect afterward. With a default 2-week billing cadence, the safest move is to cancel right after a shipment arrives rather than racing the next cutoff.
Club Jenny: the second subscription people forget
Club Jenny is a separate membership Jenny Craig sells for discounts on entrée purchases. Its terms deserve their own paragraph because they are exactly the kind that bite months later: it automatically renews at the end of each subscription term until cancelled, you keep being charged even if you never use the benefits, and the purchase is non-refundable. Jenny Craig does send renewal-notice emails 30 days before each renewal. Cancellation goes through the same channels — 1-800-727-8046 or customersupport@jennycraig.com. If you are cancelling auto-ship, ask in the same breath whether a Club Jenny subscription is active on your account.
How to confirm your cancellation actually went through
Get written confirmation for each thing you cancelled — the auto-ship plan and, if applicable, Club Jenny. Then watch your card statement through at least one full 2-week cycle, and around Club Jenny's renewal date if you had one. If a charge posts anyway, the likeliest cause is a cancellation that landed after the 6:00 p.m. ET cutoff for an already-scheduled order; raise it with customer support with your confirmation in hand.
Leaving Jenny Craig? What to consider next
People cancel meal-delivery programs for all kinds of reasons — cost, food fatigue, plateaus, or wanting a different kind of support, including medical options. Prepared-meal programs and medication-based care are different categories: one ships you portion-controlled food, the other treats weight through a licensed healthcare provider. Telehealth platforms — Cora Health among them — connect patients with licensed providers who evaluate whether a GLP-1 medication is appropriate and, when it is, prescribe it.
A few honest things to know if you are weighing compounded GLP-1 medication:
- Compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are prepared by US-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not therapeutically equivalent to brand-name products like Wegovy® or Zepbound®.
- A licensed provider — not the platform — decides whether medication is clinically appropriate for you. Cora does not prescribe; it connects patients with licensed providers.
- In the STEP 1 trial, FDA-approved branded semaglutide produced about 14.9% average weight loss over 68 weeks; in SURMOUNT-1, FDA-approved branded tirzepatide produced about 22.5% over 72 weeks. Those figures come from trials of the branded products, not compounded versions. Individual results vary.
- Compare the total, all-inclusive price — not just a headline number. Cora's plans start at $99/month for compounded semaglutide and $135/month for compounded tirzepatide on annual plans, with provider care, US-licensed pharmacy fulfillment, and shipping included and no separate membership fee.
- Whatever you choose, pick a provider with transparent pricing and a clear, self-serve way to cancel — so you are not back here running another "how to cancel" search in six months.
Jenny Craig cancellation FAQ
Can I cancel Jenny Craig online? No — the terms require a call (1-800-727-8046) or email (customersupport@jennycraig.com), and deleting your account information does not stop auto-ship fulfillment.
Is there a cancellation fee? No fee — but food orders are non-refundable, including prepaid orders that have not shipped, so the practical cost of cancelling mid-prepay is the unshipped food you already paid for.
I cancelled but another box showed up — why? Most likely the cancellation landed after the 6:00 p.m. ET cutoff the day before that order's fulfillment, so it applied to the following order instead.
What is Club Jenny and am I paying for it? A separate auto-renewing discount membership. It bills each term until cancelled on its own — check with the agent when you cancel auto-ship, and watch for its 30-day renewal-notice emails.
Where do I complain about food quality? That is a different line: 800-JENNYCARES (800-536-6922) — refund policy aside, quality issues are handled there.
